Integration of Mine Survivors

"Integration of Mine Survivors into Azerbaijan Society" is the AzCBL's most ambitious and potentially far reaching project to date, and would become the largest ever independent mine victim assistance project in Azerbaijan.

The project aims to address all aspects of mine survivor's situation, including psycho-social assistance, vocational assistance and the creation of economic opportunities, and legal and information dissemination campaigns aimed at educating mine survivors in Azerbaijan on their rights as disabled persons.

With the number of mine survivors in Azerbaijan numbering upwards of 2000 and unfortunately continuing to rise, this very important and often overlooked aspect of mine action has become the priority of the AzCBL as it achieves real results in improving mine victims situations, financially, psycholigally, and morally.

The implementation of this project is one of the AzCBL's highest priorities for 2007.
